The short version: ReTab keeps a short list of your recently closed tabs on your own device so you can reopen them with one click. It does not collect, transmit, or sell your data. There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
This Privacy Policy explains how the ReTab — Reopen Closed Tabs browser extension (“ReTab,” “the extension”) handles information. ReTab is made by HackitzLabs, the software division of Northern Kreations (“we,” “us,” “our”).
1. What ReTab stores
To let you reopen tabs you have closed, ReTab keeps a list of your recently closed tabs — typically each entry’s page title, address (URL), and when it was closed. In the free version this list holds your last 3 closed tabs; the Pro version extends it to a longer history along with collections. This information is stored locally by your browser on your device and is used only to display your reopen list.
2. Sync (Pro)
If you use the Pro sync feature, ReTab stores your list using your browser’s built-in sync storage. Your browser (for example, Chrome signed in to your Google account) is what synchronizes that data across your own signed-in devices. This syncing is handled by your browser and its account provider under their privacy terms. HackitzLabs does not operate any server for ReTab and cannot see your synced tabs.
3. Permissions
ReTab requests only the browser capabilities it needs to work: the ability to detect and reopen recently closed tabs, and local storage to remember your list between sessions. It does not read the content of the pages you visit, monitor your browsing, or track you across sites.
4. What ReTab does not do
- No data collection. ReTab does not send your tab history, browsing activity, or any personal information to us or to third parties.
- No ads and no tracking. The extension contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking technologies.
- No data sales. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the extension’s core function or for any credit or lending decisions.
5. Upgrading to Pro
ReTab offers an optional paid “Pro” upgrade that unlocks additional features. Any purchase is completed through the applicable app store or payment provider, which collects and processes payment details under its own privacy policy. HackitzLabs does not receive or store your payment card information.
6. Children’s privacy
ReTab is a general-purpose productivity tool intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Data security and deleting your data
Because your closed-tab list lives in your own browser, you remain in control of it. You can clear it from within the extension where available, and removing or uninstalling ReTab deletes the data it stored on your device. If you used Pro sync, clearing your browser’s synced extension data removes the synced copy as well.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add a feature that changes how the extension handles data. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version on this page.
