JustMail is a local-first email client. It does not use an account you register with HackitzLabs, and HackitzLabs does not operate any server that receives or stores your data. Everything JustMail holds — your email credentials and sign-in tokens, cached messages, contacts, and settings — is stored only on your device, and your actual email lives on your own mail provider. Because of this, you can delete all JustMail data yourself, completely, at any time.
In short: uninstalling JustMail (or clearing its storage) removes all of the app’s data from your device, including your saved credentials and cached mail. Your messages on your email provider, and any attachments you saved to your own cloud storage, are deleted in those accounts. HackitzLabs holds no data of yours to delete.
1. Delete JustMail’s data on your device
All of JustMail’s data (email account credentials and OAuth tokens, cached messages, contacts you imported, and app settings) is stored in the app’s private storage on your device. To remove it:
- Open Android Settings → Apps → JustMail.
- Tap Storage & cache → Clear storage to erase all app data, or tap Uninstall to remove the app and its data entirely.
You can also remove a single account from within the app’s account settings, which deletes that account’s stored credentials and cached mail from the device.
Paired devices. If you used JustMail’s device pairing to copy your setup to another device (for example, from your phone to a Windows PC), each device keeps its own separate copy of your accounts and settings. Delete it on each device using the steps above.
2. Delete email held by your mail provider
JustMail is only a client — your actual email is stored by your email provider (for example Gmail, Outlook / Microsoft 365, or your own IMAP server), not by JustMail. To delete the messages themselves, delete them in your mailbox through your provider, or close your account with that provider. This is outside JustMail’s control.
3. Remove app access and files in connected services (optional)
If you connected any optional services, remove JustMail’s access and any files it created in your own accounts:
- Microsoft / Outlook sign-in (OAuth) — revoke JustMail’s access under “Apps and services that can access your data” at account.microsoft.com/privacy.
- Google Drive — delete any attachment files JustMail saved, and revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. JustMail uses only the drive.file scope, so it can only see the files it created.
- Nextcloud / OneDrive — sign in to that account, delete any attachment files JustMail uploaded or saved, then remove the saved connection in JustMail’s settings.
4. Delete backups you exported (optional)
If you used JustMail’s backup feature, the exported settings file is stored wherever you chose (on your device or a cloud provider). Delete that file from that location to remove it. HackitzLabs has no access to these backups.
5. No server-side data to delete
HackitzLabs does not operate any server that collects JustMail user data, and there is no HackitzLabs account associated with the app. There is therefore no server-side copy of your data for us to delete.
